Class Description
Note: This is a full year class. No new students are accepted in the spring semester.
Beginning programmers will learn logical step by step thinking and go through steps to create a variety of programs. Understand a problem and create a solution to the problem by creating a description, a flowchart, and a program solution to it. Write code, test it, and correct (debug) it. We will initially do programs on the laptop using scratch-based block style drag and drop coding to produce results on the screen. Later we will translate that to other block style applications that will allow students to use light, sound, joystick, and distance sensors to control physical devices such as lights, motors, and displays.
