Class Description
Microcontroller kits will be used to build and program digital electronic circuits using basic electronic components including digital logic gates, LEDs, resistors, capacitors, diodes and transistors. Students will study digital logic gates, design logic circuits, and connect these circuits electrically to complete their designed tasks. Students will learn about digital computer based control and will create Scratch based programs to input and interpret signals from a variety of switches and sensors. Based on these inputs they will control output devices such as lights, displays, and motors. We will cover the fundamentals of DC electricity, digital electronics, and microcontroller programming.
